LETTER FROM OUR RESIDENT MAD REPUBLICAN
A Letter from Chuck
CONGRATULATIONS DEMOCRATS!
CONGRATULATIONS DEMOCRATS!
To all of my friends who have a different view of America and her politics I say, thank you for voting, and congratulations. Make no mistake that that I would have preferred the vote turn out differently, but I acknowledge change is good. The republicans may have lost, but conservatism won. The new leadership has some outstanding new congressmen and women. This President and his congress betrayed conservatives like me. We understood that our values were only being played lip service. I hope this shake up in congress will refocus the career politicians on the issues important to Americans. Secure boarders, homeland security, and the protection of civil liberties. I genuinely hope that the new voice of congress will commit the time, troops and attention needed to win the war on terror.
We live in the greatest nation on the planet. Such discourse and strife all too often manifests itself in bloodshed. Here, our diverse views are argued with passion, vitriol, and sometimes venom. Thank GOD that we engage in argument alone. Or battlefield is the ballot box, and you are the victors. Let’s move forward together with cooperation and hope. Your victory is another shining example of the greatness of our way of life. Good luck in the next two years.
Editors Note: While we occasionally get a little carried away with our debating it is nice to know that in America ideas and ideologies can be expressed, entertained, and often forgiven. Thanks Chuck. You are a good man despite your radical right wing leanings:-)

Chuck, if I have ever seen a man with contradictions, you must be him. All the way sounding like loose cannon with verbal diahrea to sensitive poet. Dr. Chuch Jekyll or is it Dr. Chuck Hyde?
SLAM DUNK!!!!!
I do not accept Chucky's congratulations. That's because I am an American first, last and always. My party affiliation is a secondary matter of convenience, allowing me to choose my primary.
Chucky however, is a Republican first, and an American second. That's why he never before came clean on his reservations about the political mutations that have been of late passing as conservatives. Why did it take an electoral defeat to get him to fess up? Was he just hanging on to Bush's and Rove's coat tails, hoping they could fool everybody one more time?
The truth is that Chucky is a ditto head following his leader Rush Limbaugh, carrying the water for incompetent toads who have mislead America down the road to (costly) perdition. If he - and millions of Republicans like him - had put America first, party second and had spoken up against Bush sooner, we would not be where we are today.
Chucky, this politics is not some football game after which you can walk across the field at the 50 yard line and think you can shake hands.
Why would you think you could? Rush has been on drugs. What's your excuse?
There are sometimes moments that go totally beyond one's comprehenson. I just red Vigil's "carrying the water" link, which I urge everybody to read, and find myself unable to make sense of the main character, mr. Limbaugh.
This phenomenom, illness, idiocy, or what ever one wants to call it, is strikingly similar to that what Chuck and the rest of the hard core cheerleaders of Bush&Co are demonstrating "standing by their man" no matter what the consequenses. When Chuch just recently said something like: "I rather have bad Republicans than good Democrats in power", it became clear to me that he has left reason for others to deal with.
Vigil, I owe you thanks for abling me to stop trying to figure these kind of people out by using logic. It is plain to me now, they are not logical...they just are.
